The government has strengthened the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan in Jammu and Kashmir. Notably, over 1.20 crore people in the Union Territory have been reached through awareness drives. Moreover, 8,565 volunteers called Nasha Mukti Mitras have joined the campaign. Clearly, the drive aims to protect youth from drug abuse.
About Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan
The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment runs this campaign. It began on 15 August 2020. At first, it covered the most affected districts. Later, it expanded to all districts of India. Its main aim is a drug-free India through awareness and treatment.
