Background and Motivation
Riteeka belongs to Udham Singh Nagar district. Also, she completed Class 10, Class 12 and her graduation in her home area. Above all, she wants to work for women empowerment. So, she sees a role in the government as a way to help women.
However, female aspirants often face social pressure to finish early because of marriage or age. In such moments, she suggests looking at how much your family supports you. Also, never lose faith in yourself. Then, keep studying steadily.

Mains: One Answer Every Day
Riteeka did not wait for the exam dates to start writing. Instead, she wrote one answer every day from the very beginning. Also, she used case studies and examples in her answers.
As a Hindi-medium aspirant, she kept checking her answers for gaps. For instance, she asked what more she could add. It could be bullet points, a case study or an example. Moreover, in every answer she wrote the challenges, the solutions and related schemes.
Interview Preparation
For the interview, she joined the Samveg IAS interview programme. There, she prepared with mock interviews. Indeed, she says this guidance helped her a lot.
Never Stop After a Bad Exam
Riteeka missed many exams along the way. In fact, repeated failures even pushed her into low phases. However, she never stopped. If an exam went badly, she started preparing for the next one the very next day.
Also, she never told herself that she could not do it. Instead, she trusted herself and kept going.
Moreover, she warns against seasonal study. Exam cycles in Uttarakhand are long. So, many aspirants plan to study only when the exam comes near. However, if you stop, the syllabus slips away from you. Therefore, study regularly, and do not wait for the exam.
Social Media and Her Advice
She never used social media during her preparation. For others, she suggests balance. So, deactivate your accounts when the exam is near. Also, follow channels that help you learn.
For young women, her advice is clear. When pressure from society builds, talk to your parents and friends. Then, set a goal and stay motivated. Also, do not act under anyone’s pressure.
“We can change our fate through our hard work,” says Riteeka Rank 17 UKPSC Lower PCS 2024. So, focus more on your effort.
