Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami presented the budget on 9 March 2026 at Bhararisain. The gender budget pools spending on schemes for women and girls. Finally, the Aapda Sakhi scheme receives Rs 2 crore.
What Is Gender Budgeting?
Gender budgeting tracks how public spending reaches women and girls. However, it does not mean a separate budget for women. Instead, it shows the share of each department’s spending that benefits them. At the national level, the Union Budget has carried a Gender Budget Statement since 2005-06.
