​A long-standing political and administrative deadlock spanning several years over the vital Kishau Dam Project has finally been resolved. Following an initiative led by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, a high-level meeting was convened in New Delhi where six states officially reached a consensus and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the implementation of this multi-purpose water and energy project.

​The agreement marks a monumental success for the Central Government’s policy of “Samvaad se Samadhan” (Resolution through Dialogue) to resolve long-pending matters of national importance.
