Prime Minister interacts with young IAS officers of 2016 Batch
The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, today interacted with over 170 young IAS officers (2016 Batch) who have recently been appointed Assistant Secretaries in the Government of India.
The Prime Minister encouraged them to share their experiences of field training. He discussed with them, some of the elements of good governance, including Jan Bhagidaari, information flows, optimal utilisation of resources, and people’s trust in governance.
On completion of Phase-2 training at Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, Mussoorie, the officers were recently posted as Assistant Secretaries in the Ministries/Departments of Government of India for a period of 13 weeks starting from July 2 on Central deputation.
After completing their first Central deputation, the officers will report to their State cadres by the end of September 2018.
