This policy explains what SAMVEG IAS Academy, Dehradun (“we”) collects through samvegias.com, and in particular through the Practice Portal (daily PYQ tests, leaderboard and related features), and how we use it.
What we collect
- When you sign in with Google: your name, email address and your Google account ID. We do not receive or store your Google password.
- Details you give us: the name you choose to show on the leaderboard and, if you choose, your district.
- Your practice activity: the tests you take, your answers, scores, time taken, streaks, bookmarks and any question you report as wrong.
- Plan details: whether your account is Free or Pro, and its start and end dates.
- Payments: when you buy a Pro plan, a batch or a test series online, we keep the plan or course, the amount, the date, the order and payment IDs from Razorpay, and your receipt. You enter your card, UPI or bank details on Razorpay’s secure checkout, and they never reach us.
- Guests: if you take a test without signing in, your answers are scored but are not linked to any account.
How we use it
- To sign you in and keep your results, streaks and history.
- To show the public leaderboard. The leaderboard shows only your chosen display name, district (if given) and score — never your email address.
- To improve our questions and solutions, and to contact you about your account if needed.
- To process your payments, send your receipts and handle any refund.
- We use your results on the SAMVEG IAS Practice Portal (scores, and accuracy by subject and topic) to suggest SAMVEG IAS courses, test series and books that may help you. These suggestions are shown only inside the portal.
We do not sell your personal information or share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Cookies and services we use
We use cookies to keep you signed in and to remember small settings such as your language. Sign-in is provided by Google (Google Identity Services), and Google’s own privacy policy applies to your Google account. Online payments are processed by Razorpay Software Private Limited, and Razorpay’s privacy policy applies to the details you enter at its checkout. The website may also use standard services such as Google Analytics to understand how the site is used.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your account and practice history while your account exists. You can ask us to correct or delete your account and all its data at any time by writing to us through our Contact Us page.
