UKPSC answer key 2026 in short
Samveg IAS will publish its unofficial answer key for the UKPSC Upper PCS Prelims 2026 (29 November 2026) on this page on exam day, for both GS and CSAT, with short explanations. The Commission’s own provisional key comes later on psc.uk.gov.in, and we will link it here when it is out.

After the exam, you want two things fast: the question paper and a reliable key to check your score. This page gives both. First, it links the 2026 paper. Then, it gives the Samveg IAS answer key, solved by our faculty from standard sources and our Uttarakhand notes. Finally, it explains how to calculate your score with negative marking.
UKPSC Upper PCS Prelims 2026 answer key
| Paper | Question paper | Samveg IAS answer key | UKPSC provisional key |
|---|---|---|---|
| GS Paper 1 (150 questions) | On 29 November 2026 | On 29 November 2026 (evening) | When UKPSC releases it |
| CSAT Paper 2 (100 questions) | On 29 November 2026 | On 29 November 2026 (evening) | When UKPSC releases it |
Our key is unofficial. Where a question is disputed, we say so and explain both views. However, your final marks depend only on the Commission’s final key.
How to calculate your UKPSC prelims score
| Paper | Correct answer | Wrong answer | Unattempted | Counts for merit? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| GS Paper 1 | +1 | −0.25 | 0 | Yes, out of 150 |
| CSAT Paper 2 | +1.5 | −0.375 | 0 | No, qualifying (33% = 49.5 of 150) |
GS score = correct answers − (wrong answers × 0.25). For example, 100 attempts with 85 correct gives 85 − (15 × 0.25) = 81.25. Next, compare your score with the UKPSC year-wise cut-off: it was 92.9727 (UR) in 2025 and 87.3308 in 2024.
How the official UKPSC answer key works
- First, the Commission publishes a provisional answer key on psc.uk.gov.in after the exam.
- Next, candidates can file objections within the window and in the format given in that notice.
- Then, experts review the objections, and the Commission may change answers or delete questions.
- Finally, results are prepared on the final key.
